Description
Common Q&A Q: How to install it? A: (1)Battery --->(2)Solar panels ---> (3)DC load Q: Why the LCD screen become blank? A: When the battery voltage is too low, the controller will stop to output(≦ 8V, controller turns itself off, LCD is blank, ≦ 10.7V, 12V output ports are not available); after the solar panels charging, it will re-output when the battery will return to 12.6V. Q: What battery type is this controller supported? A:B01= OPEN B02= AGM B03= GEL. The regulator is only suitable for lead acid batteries, not for nickel hydride, lithium, ions, or other batteries. Let the children keeps far away from the storage battery and the controller. Note: Wire Range: 26-12 AWG Make sure the voltage of your battery reach 11V for initial use , so as to start up for the controller to registered the battery type accordingly. Old batteries may be degraded the capacity after hundereds of cycles, easily drop lower than 8V, which results in the controller will be shut off (LCD screen become totally “DEAD”). Indoor use only: the working temperature of this controller is -35°C to +60°C. During hot sunny days, the temperature outside might go up to 60-75°C. Please do keep the controller stay in cool and well-ventilated place to maintain good heat dissipation Features: (1) Automatically manage the working of solar panel and battery in solar system. (2) Overloading and short-circuit protection. (3) Build-in short-circuit protection, open-circuit protection, reverse protection, over-load protection. (4) Protection from lightning strike. (5) Prolong the battery life cycle and keep the load work well. (6) Easy to set up and operate. (7) Suitable for small solar energy system. Specification: *Voltage: DC 12V/24V *Self-consuming: 10MA *Rated Charge Current: 20A *Rated Load Current: 20A *Over charge Protection: 14.4V/28.8V *Over charge Floating charge: 13.7V/27.4V *Charge recover voltage: 12.6V/25.2V *Over discharge Protection: 10.7V/21.4V *Over discharge Recover: 12.6V/25.2V *USB output: 5V/3A *Operating temperature: -35℃-60℃ *Size:150 * 78 * 35mm / 5.9 * 3 * 1.4in Material Selection Using Germany imported FR-4pcb, anti-aging components and international standard USB output Layout LCD Screen USB Ports Switch Button PV Terminal Battery Terminal Load Terminal Compatible Battery Types B01= OPEN B02= AGM B03= GEL

Oh boy, this is a good controller.I have a controller from Harbor Freight and there's no comparison. This controller is precise, accurate and smart. It's ideal if you want to charge a battery in the best way possible. It identifies what kind of battery you have and it provides the ideal voltage. It protects the battery from overcharge and it also has an optional feature that protects the battery from over depletion.Yes, I wish it had a couple of features that it doesn't have, but for $20, I have no complaints. This is real bargain. Here's what I wish it had:1. An instructional manual written in comprehensible English. You'll have to go on YouTube to see this thing demonstrated if you want to know how it works. But the good news is, the chances are you will not want to change the settings. The default settings are ideal for AGM batteries.2. The ability to use it without a battery. Why is this important? It's not. But if you connect it to a solar panel without the battery attached, you run the risk of ruining it. So long as you are sure you connect the battery first, you'll have no problem. And when you disconnect it from the system, disconnect the solar panel first. Just remember you'll never want the solar panel connected without the battery.I especially like the fact that I can glance at this controller and see the state of charge of my battery. I don't know of any other controllers that have this feature. It's a great feature and I wonder why it isn't even mentioned in the documentation. If you are in the habit of just checking voltage, that' a habit you should break.I was going to spend $50 on an amp hour meter but then I realized I don't have to because of this controller's feature.I don't see any controllers out there that are as good unless they cost more than $100.I'm quite impressed.
